K2 Base Camp, Concordia & Gondogoro la Trek is considered to be one of the world’s Amazing treks with magnificent view peerless anywhere else in the high mountains.
Every continent has a wide range of mountain ranges. Allah has blessed Pakistan with a vast and unenviable mountain ranges. Karakoram (means black gravel) is one of the highest, longest and most famous range that is located on the border of three countries Pakistan, China and India. The Karakoram has more than 60 peaks that are about 7000m high. Karakoram has notable peaks including K2 that is 8611m high, Gasherbrum I that is 8080m high, Broad Peak that is 8051m high, Gasherbrum II that is 8035m high, and many more peaks.

K2 is one of the second highest peak in the world situated in the Karakoram Range lies between the bordering parts of Pakistan and China. K2 is the highest peak of Pakistan and located on the China-Pakistan border between Baltistan in the Gilgit-Baltistan region of northern Pakistan. K2 is also known as “Mount Godwin-Austen” and in Balti language known as “Chogori” which means the king of mountains. Due to its extreme difficulty in climbing it is also called as Savage or Killer Mountain.

Mountaineers set their first camp as a Base camp where they have all the resources like mountainous equipment, meal, solar and generators to charge their headlights and other instruments. Once the base camp is set, the Mountaineers started to climb. For K2 base trekking , the best route is through the Concordia. The trek has an amazing and aesthetic scenery but it is quite dangerous that will take life away in any second.

The trekkers begin their journey with a flight to Skardu from Islamabad or can drive to Skardu. This tour to Skardu provides a stunning and beautiful view of Karakoram mountain range including Nanga Parbat. From Skardu the trekkers have to cross Shigar valley, which is quite green and fertile that takes to Askole. Then on the walking distance, up to the Baltoro glacier, they can see the amazing views of Masherbrum, K2, Broad Peak and lots of other peaks. There is Baltoro glacier on further walking which is extremely dangerous. After a long distance, there is Concordia, which is basically the intersection of Baltoro and Godwin Austin Glaciers and it is a place mostly used as a base for the four goliaths of the Karakorum that are Hidden Peak or Gasherbrum I, Gasherbrum II, Broad Peak, and K2.

 The K2 base camp or Concordia is also described as the ‘Throne room of the mountain gods’ because it has a beautiful and exclusive 360-degree panoramic view of the more than 7,000 meter high mountains and has an impressive view of K2.

The Baltoro Glacier meets the Vigne and Godwin-Austen glaciers at Concordia. It is said to be one of the most amazing mountain campsites in the world. From here the K2 is only 10km distant and provides a very special view. Reaches upper the Baltoro Glacier, there is a Gondogoro La. This is a challenging and technical route and links the high glacial basin of the upper Baltoro with the green Hushe Valley. This place provides an overwhelming mountain view. Beauty of Hunza Valley - Gilgit Baltistan Pakistan

     

Allah Almighty has blessed Pakistan with aesthetic and natural beauty. It has a lot of places which are deadly covered with beautiful scenes. Such glamorous and wonderful scenes make a person think about Allah’s glory and creativity. Hunza is among the most beautiful areas of Pakistan. Hunza often known as ‘Heaven on Earth’ is a beautiful mountainous valley. It is located in the Gilgit-Baltistan region which is in the extreme northern part that connects china with Pakistan. Gilgit-Baltistan region Biafo Glaciers is the homeland of adventures treks, k2 base camp trek , Concordia trek, and gondogoro la trek. It is surrounded by several high peaks including Rakaposhi, Ladyfinger peak and Hunza peak. Hunza was previously a princely state which survived until 1974 and was dissolved by Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto. Its capital was the town of Baltit also known as Karimabad.

The climate of Hunza is moderate in summer. The maximum temperature in summer is about 14-degree Celsius but in July-august it reaches a maximum of 31-degree Celsius in central Hunza. In the winter season, the temperature reaches to -10-degree Celsius or even more.
The people of Hunza are quite friendly, cooperative and hospitable. Generally, people of Hunza speak Urdu language but some other languages are also being spoken such as Shina, Wakhi, and Burushaski.

In Hunza, the bazaar of Karimabad is well known for its local handicrafts, handmade carpets, traditional and embroidered caps, different shawls, handwoven cloth and its gemstone including Ruby. The Ruby mines are famous tourist attractions.
The Hunza valley is popular for its snow-capped and rough mountains. Many people came to Hunza just to get a few glimpses of the shining ice wall of the Rakaposhi Mountain. Other popular mountains in Hunza include Passu Peak, Ultar Peak and Kuksel Sar.

Gojal valley of Hunza is popular for its lakes. Attabad Lake is situated in Gojal Valley. This lake was formed due to the massive land sliding in 2010 that blocked the water flow in the Hunza River.
